I am Hannah Detherow and I founded Open Arms in July 2004 after several years and independently adopting  4 Ukrainian children.  Why?  Simply put, I can't adopt all the children I met during my adoptions nor can I help them all alone.  But I can create a way to help a few more be adopted and to give everyone the opportunity to do whatever they have the desire and ability to do to assist these kids.
